You can use Solo on your PC network. You can install any number of copies on various workstations without paying any royalties or fees for these copies. However, if you install Solo on more than one workstation then you must order the Solo network module (SoloNet) which will prevent updates on one workstation over-writing work on another.
SoloNet also opens up Solo to full multi user functionality. You can use it to define any number of users with three levels of access, read-only, user and administrator. Users are presented with a logon and password screen for security. Users can also 'message' one another from within Solo about companies they are working with. SoloNet gives the administrator user the ability to add, edit and delete users and passwords as well as set up the drive specifications for your data.
It is possible to run Solo on a network without the SoloNet network module but if more than one person uses it at a time, even if the use is accidental, your data will be jeopardised and possibly unrecoverable. We have to make a one-off charge for the network module to cover the costs of closer involvement during installation and upgrade when dealing with networks. The charge per network for the SoloNet module is £300+vat, which gives a licence for an unlimited number of users and workstations.
